Mini Vanilla Support British Heart Foundation and Alzheimers Riding London To Brighton Bike Race

Our very own Josie Webster, one of the founders of Mini Vanilla, is riding in the London to Brighton Bike Race this Sunday to raise money for Alzheimers and the British Heart Foundation.

Now ... you've all heard of “The A Team”, but have you heard of the “The D Team”?

Dorking Dynamo's are a group of crazy fool mums who are entering the London to Brighton bike ride on Sunday 19th June in aid of the British Heart Foundation. “The D team” is made up of Jo Webster, Jessica Cluett, Carol Althorp, Sophie Atkinson and Debbie Hayward. We would really appreciate your support for this extremely worthy cause and so please dig deep to help spur us on in our quest.

You can donate on the girls justgiving page if you would like to help them support their charities.

Thank You

So are you considering taking the Kids to A Family Festival this year?

We are off to Camp Bestival.

Mini Vanilla at Camp Bestival

We've been once before and loved it and we are even more excited this year as we are taking Mabel...!!!

Who is Mabel, well here she is......

VW Campervan - Mini Vanilla Inspiration for Childrens Pyjamas

Our Son is beside himself with exctiement and has had his Mini Vanilla Campervan Pyjamas packed for ages and we not going till the end of July!!

Mini Vanilla Boys Camper Van Pyjamas

What we liked about Camp Bestival.

The Kids Field - It's feels pretty safe and contained so you can relax with out stressing about loosing them in the crowd.

The kids disco tent is a must as there are loads of fancy dress outfits to try on. Cue many a funny photo with the kids dressing Dad in some crazy get ups!!

Brilliant Celebrity line up, forget who is playing on the Main Stage who can forget Mr Tumbles' appearance last year.

This year there is going to a Circus there too.

Our top tip for going to a Festival with the Kids

Go with the flow - Don't worry about bed times, (as excited as you might be for the kids to show off their new Mini Vanilla PJ's!!) Just go with it and let them party till they drop....

Let the kids fall asleep in their Mini Vanilla Pyjamas in a Radio Flyer

Do take one of those fab wheelie trollies or a pushchair for them to collapes in and then you can party till you drop..well till you are ready to stagger your dancing feet back to your camp bed that is.

Our Favourite Camp Bestival moment

I think it was getting up early... (the joy of going to a festival with kids...!!).

It was a really warm sunny morning. The only people up, funnily enough were those with very small children. We headed over to the breakfast stalls, (you can get really good quality organic breakfasts). Made friends with fellow campers and then headed to the Kids field. As it was so early there was only a few people there, so kids could run around freely and play on everything, while we sat on a haystack and drank coffee in the early morning sunshine gazing at the beautiful Lulworth Castle and the sea in the distance.

Share your 'Festivals with children" experiences with us. Which festival are you going to this year, any top tips??

Catch-a-Balls Classes for young children

10 May 2011 16:27:21 BST

We just felt we should give our friends a little plug. They run some really fun classes for children that encourge ball and movement skills. Everyone gets involved with classes for 18 month olds up to school age children.

Catch-a-balls is all about building the basic repertoire of skills in order for children to enter the world of sport with physical confidence.  For every sport, whether it is athletics, team sports, racket games or individual physical challenges participants need to be agile, well co-ordinated and aware of their body’s abilities and limitations.

By starting off young, and in such a fun and lively environment you can give your child a really head start.

So do check out their website www.catch-a-balls.co.uk

At the moment they are just based in the South East but they are starting to do really well with their franchises, so hopefully there will be near you soon too.

Mini Vanilla Site launch

25 January 2011 13:48:22 GMT

Mini Vanilla Childrens Nightwear

We were so excited to launch Mini Vanilla Online at the end of 2010.

Since it's launch we have been thrilled as the Mini Vanilla brand has grown from strength to strength. Selling in many exclusive boutiques across the UK and Europe. Mini Vanilla Nightwear can also be found in Harrods.

We really think it's the attention to detail and quality that has made it so popular. We try to make sure everything is so well thought through - the babywear items are beautifully packaged so ideal for gifts. Add to this the fabulous new bedding and nursery range due for launch early next you can put together a great matching set to take baby from bed to bath to nursery.

Our toddler and the older kids sleepwear is perfect for mums and dads who are tired of seeing licensed character PJs. Designs of pyjamas and nighties are mostly traditional, in the softest cotton, and they are stylish enough to be worn as leisurewear as well as for bed. Great for sleepovers or visiting Grandma!
